How telehealth works here

Telehealth Oklahoma patients can use between visits

Telehealth in Oklahoma lets you meet with a licensed provider by secure video instead of driving to the office. At Pathway Health & Beauty, we use telehealth for follow-up visits: reviewing labs, adjusting hormone doses, checking in on weight loss medication and talking through symptoms.

Tia Christ, APRN-CNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner licensed in Oklahoma. Because her practice license is in Oklahoma, you need to be in Oklahoma at the time of your telehealth visit.

Telehealth does not replace everything. Your first visit is in person, and physical exams, hormone pellets, injections and med spa treatments happen at our clinic in Owasso. Call or text 918-973-4575 to ask whether your visit can be done by video.

Telehealth for hormones and weight loss in Oklahoma

Most of our telehealth visits are hormone therapy follow-ups and weight loss check-ins. After you start bioidentical hormones or a GLP-1 medication such as semaglutide or tirzepatide, Tia reviews how you feel, your side effects and your labs, then adjusts your plan.

Some medications have extra federal rules. Testosterone is a controlled substance, and rules for prescribing controlled medications by telehealth are set by the DEA and have been changing. We follow the current rules, which can mean an in-person visit before or during treatment.

Labs are ordered before your telehealth visit so results are ready to review. We will tell you how to get them drawn.

Telehealth is a good fit for busy parents, people who work long shifts, and patients in towns across Oklahoma who would otherwise spend half a day on the road for a 20-minute conversation.

Before your video visit

  • Be somewhere in Oklahoma
  • Use a private, quiet space
  • Have your medication list ready
  • Write down your questions

Good to know

Is telehealth right for your visit?

Good fits for video

Reviewing lab results, adjusting a dose, checking side effects, talking through sleep, nutrition and stress, and refilling a stable treatment plan.

Better in person

New symptoms that need an exam, anything that needs a blood pressure or weight check, pellets, injections and med spa treatments.

Privacy and safety

Visits use a secure video platform. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 instead of booking a telehealth visit.
